NVone Introduces the 4Access Orion Terminal

8/1/2008: NVone is pleased to announce that it is now offering the Orion "All-In-One" POS terminal from 4Access. Like most POS terminals, Orion is capable of processing all major credit cards and gift and loyalty cards. What really sets Orion apart is that it has a built in check imager.

This compact countertop terminal is packed with features that go beyond processing credit cards. With its built in check imager it gives merchant every opportunity to make a sale. It's important to note that nearly half of all non-cash transactions in the USA are still done with a check. Merchants that don't accept checks are missing sales. Of course, accepting a check can be risky so it makes sense for merchants to convert check payments into an electronic format. Called Electric Check Conversion, or ECC, when a customer wants to pay by check the merchant scans it and the check is converted to an electronic payment which is deposited directly into the merchants bank. At the same time, if the check processor approves the check, payment to the merchant can be guaranteed if the merchant opts for that service. The Orion has a built in check imager which takes a picture of the front of the check and transmits it to the check processor for approval. Images are preferred by check processors and are far more convenient for merchants to handlle.
